ABOUT ME
I started my practice after a long spiritual journey. In 2008 I began studying psychology and philosophy for my undergraduate degree. A year into school, I felt that something was missing from my education. I needed to understand healing in a way that wasn’t analytical. I found myself studying Reiki at the open center in NYC. Through the experience of learning from teachers that were far more emotionally vulnerable and open than me, I knew I had to open up to spirituality and find my path. I realized I would need to find an approach to healing myself first. The methods I used to find my way in, are fundamental to my practice.
Tarot was my gateway, not only to self-understanding but to healing. Tarot was the first piece of my path I’d received, and while I slowly made my way through my undergraduate education in Psychology, I taught myself to read the tarot. This language was personal and complex. The root of the symbols was dripping with meaning derived from Jewish mysticism, which was a link to my own lineage. This gave me more grounding in myself, and I made a devotional learning practice which I have kept to this day. Tarot reading led me to a love of archetypes which grew stronger with the study of Jungian Psychology.
Then one fateful day during my Saturn return, the winds of change brought me to Portland, Oregon. As I continued to work in food service, I was burning out. I was being pushed to my limit and was miserable. I knew I was meant to be in Portland, but why? After one particularly awful burnout work day, an advertisement for the Portland School of Astrology reeled me in. Four years later, I find myself in love with my life path. I’m an Astrologer, Tarot reader, an Astrological Coach, and a teacher. I found a career that I love and a life where I’m not in survival mode.
A message about Accountability:
I realize that I would not be where I am without countless privileges, and the sacrifices of others. My practice is rooted in accountability, and anti-racism. The land I live on is the stolen land of the Multnomah, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Chinook, Tualatin, Kalapuya, and Molalla tribes. I am careful to understand and give credit to the lineages of spirituality, magic, and psychology I use in my practice. These paths are sacred, and I honor them. I realize the unfair advantage of white body supremacy, and therefore my offerings have a sliding scale to correct for that imbalance in my practice. Please use this sliding scale if you are effected by white body supremacy.
